Meet Marcia: a tireless Republican leader who doesn't just believe in the Constitution, the Ten Commandments, and our founding principles -- she gets things done to make sure the next generation of Texans maintain and defend those values!
A rancher, entrepreneur, and former corporate strategist, Marcia brings her decades of experience to helping Republicans win at all levels. She is the founder of WilCo We the People, holding public officials accountable while getting the Williamson County community motivated to make a difference in local government. She was recently named Executive Director of County Citizens Defending Freedom - Williamson County, part of a national organization that provides the tools and support needed to empower citizens to defend their freedom and liberty, and place local government back into the hands of the people. She is a former local director of the True Texas Project, a multi-county effort to capture the spirit of the original Texians by educating and catalyzing citizen engagement in all levels of government.
In between these responsibilities, you'll find her knocking doors for candidates, testifying at the Texas Capitol, producing and promoting conservative documentaries, tending to her Texas Longhorns, or breeding and developing award-winning Appaloosas.
Prior to ranch life, Marcia was a senior program manager and specialist with Austin-based Dell Technologies, where she was responsible for developing the company's online web strategy and implementing new enhancements for self service opportunities for Dell customers bridging customer care and tech support divisions.
Marcia and her husband live in the Avery Ranch neighborhood of Austin, in the heart of SD 24, and they get out to their ranch in Leander as often as possible!
Texas Senate District 24 is currently represented at the Texas Capitol by Republican Pete Flores. More information on the demographics and voting habits of the district may be found on Flores' Senate website here.
SD 24 covers serves all of Bandera, Bell, Burnet, Coryell, Gillespie, Kerr, Kimble, Lampasas, Llano, Medina, and Sutton counties, more than half of Atascosa County, and over a third of Williamson County -- a population of nearly a million residents covering over 12,000 square miles.
Each county will host their own SD 24 convention in March, and we will come together at the state convention starting May 23 to elect an SREC chairman and chairwoman to help manage the state party and represent our senate district.
Check your latest voter registration card or call your local County Clerk or Elections Administration office to see if you live in SD 24.
